Vehicle Categories and Deposits

We offer cars with different deposit requirements:

Note: The deposit amount is the maximum you might pay in case of an incident, not an automatic charge.

Deposit Payment Methods

The following methods of payment are accepted:

• Credit cards (most common)
• Debit cards (for some vehicles)
• Cash (limited availability)

Note: If you pay by card, refunds can take up to 20 business days to process, especially if your bank is outside Spain.

Insurance and Responsibilities

The main insurance is a shared responsibility type. This means:

• For basic cars (€0 deposit): You’re generally not liable for accident costs, except in specific situations.
• For other categories: Your maximum liability is the deposit amount.

What’s Typically Covered:

• Accidents caused by others
• Natural disaster damage
• Vehicle theft (not personal items)
• Roadside assistance
• Third-party damages

When You Might Lose Your Deposit:

• Parking in prohibited areas (e.g., yellow lines, disabled spots)
• Speeding tickets or other traffic fines
• Interior damage (e.g., burns, nail polish stains)
• Lost keys or documents
• Returning the car with less fuel than received
• Damaging the car’s underside on unpaved roads
• Visible damage from careless parking or high-speed driving
• Leaving valuables in the car (we’re not responsible for theft)
• Getting the car locked in a parking garage past closing time

Age Requirements and Exceptions

In general, our car rental age requirements are as follows according the rental company and car type

Important: No provisional driver’s licenses are accepted under any circumstances.

In special cases, we can make exceptions with an additional fee to cover insurance.

Special Conditions for New Drivers under 23 years old

We welcome drivers from the age of 18. However, for the safety of our customers and our vehicles, the following special conditions apply to all new drivers.

1. Vehicle Availability and Booking Process Not all cars in our fleet are available for new drivers. For this reason, you must call us first to check for a compatible car before you make a booking.

During the call, our team will confirm if a car is available for you and give you the total price for your rental, including the special insurance and deposit detailed below.

2. Mandatory Full Insurance If a car is available, new drivers must take our mandatory full insurance coverage.

• Extra Cost: €12 per day.
• Purpose: This insurance is for your peace of mind and covers the main costs in case of an accident.

3. Security Deposit A security deposit is required. The amount depends on the car model you are given.

• Deposit Amount: Between €150 and €300.

This deposit will be fully refunded to you when the rental is over, but only if the car is returned in the exact same condition you received it. There will be no exceptions.

4. Driver’s License Requirements To rent a car under these conditions, you must meet the following mandatory requirements:

• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• Driving License: Your license cannot be provisional. You must have had your full driving license for at least one complete year (365 days). Shorter periods are not accepted.

1. Always read your rental agreement carefully before signing.
2. Inspect the car for damage before and after your rental period. Take photos if needed.
3. Follow all traffic laws and drive responsibly.
4. Keep all car documents safe during your trip.
5. Report any accidents or incidents immediately to our team or the rental company.
6. Never drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that impair your ability to drive safely.

Final Advice for a Smooth Rental Experience

• Always keep valuables with you or store them securely in the trunk (we recommend avoiding leaving items visible inside the car).
• Carry your car keys with you at all times and keep them in sight to avoid losing them.
• Be aware of parking garage closing times to prevent your vehicle from being locked inside overnight.
• Understand that you’re responsible for any unauthorized drivers who use the vehicle.
